Mara got started sewing at 12 years old, when she found her mom's sewing machine in a storage shed. Her first creations were pillowcases and skirts that were less-than-professional, so it was at that point she turned to YouTube and online blogs for instruction.
In the years since, she has graduated from stretchy t-shirts to one-of-a-kind custom corsets, wedding dresses and costumes. Entirely self-taught, her work is unique, personal, fun, bright, and versatile. She delights in exploring designs, colors, textures and body shapes to make everyone as beautiful and stylish as their heart dreams of being. Shape wear is a notoriously fiddly concept, but she strives to make her corsets as comfortable as possible, so you can't wait to put them on! Each corset is designed through communication with the client in order to ensure full satisfaction, so go ahead and contact her if you're interested.
Hannah and Mara have been friends since they were very young. From Hannah’s earliest infant pictures she has always had some form of artistic medium in her hands. Whether a pen, a paint brush or just her fingers, art was intrinsic and deeply ingrained. Learning to create in nearly any form, Hannah has explored the boundaries and lent an alternate view to product and people. The logo for “Little Bit of Leeway” is a free handed design of hers.
Much of Hannah’s talent is self-taught, though she has had classroom instruction in high school. Hannah’s entrepreneurial spirit and creativity has been a driving force in the development of product, scope and design. If having something done in a uniquely original way is your goal, Mara and Hannah are the perfect team to add that special and one-of-a-kind item to your personal legacy. Reach out and connect here!
